Battery Backup Power, Inc. Adds Cloud Based SMS/Text/Email Notification Option To Its UPS Systems

Battery Backup Power, Inc. has added a cloud based SMS/Text/Email notification option (NOTIFI) to all of its digital series UPS systems. The system uses the pre-installed SIM card to notify the user by email or text message when utility power is lost or restored. There is no software to install or configure and only requires two steps to activate: 

Step 1: Go to https://www.backupbatterypower.com/activate to create an account, select your cellular service plan, enter your device activation code, and setup notification options (enter email address and cell number(s) to receive text notifications). Wait 10 minutes before proceeding.

Step 2: Power on the UPS. 

Step 3: Remove the NOTIFI device cover to remove the battery saver tab to power on the device. Then replace the cover.  

The Battery Backup Power, Inc. NOTIFI system will blink red and then send a notification if utility power is lost and blink green and then send a notification when utility power is restored.

To purchase a Battery Backup Power, Inc. UPS system with the pre-installed NOTIFI system, select any of the advanced digital models and select the "USB & Serial Port Plus BBP EMAIL/TEXT/SMS NOTIFI Module" option from the "Monitoring & Management Options" drop down menu (see below screenshot for example).
